Francesca Flores was born in the Dominican Republic, and now lives in New Jersey with her husband Vincent and their 3 children, Kayla, Lucas, and their rainbow baby Julian. Francesca is a Post Production Supervisor and has been working in film since 2002 focusing on documentary films. Being creative is her form of expression; whether it’s editing videos, or decorating her home, she finds peace in her creativity.
Francesca and Vincent lost their daughter Luna in 2019 from a very rare congenital heart defect that went undetected in utero. When Luna was born doctors realized that she was born without coronary arteries and her only chance of survival was a heart transplant. Luna sadly died at 2 days old. After losing Luna Francesca & Vincent made connections with other loss parents. They honor Luna by creating art and donating their customized artwork to bereaved parents.
A longtime member of the Griffin Cares Peer Community, Francesca serves as a Peer Mentor for parents who are new to loss. She looks forward to deepening her involvement as a member of the Griffin Cares Foundation Board.
