In 2019, Ada and her husband, Alfredo, suffered the unexpected loss of their son, Elijah, due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Ada became involved with Griffin Cares shortly after Elijah’s death.
Along with her professional career in finance, Ada has a degree in Psychology as well as formal perinatal bereavement training. Benefitting herself from the caring support of the Griffin Cares community inspired Ada’s ongoing efforts with the Foundation. In addition to being a Board Member, she serves as the Foundation’s Treasurer and is a support group facilitator.
Ada and her husband live in the Pocono Mountains, PA with their children, Jiraiya and Isaiah, and their pets – a cat and a dog. She recently authored a guided journal, a tool to support others who may find themselves on a healing journey. Ada strives for her work with Griffin Cares to have a positive impact on the community so they may know that there is hope after loss.
