Ashley Fylstra

Ashley Fylstra is a New Jersey native currently living in Northern NJ with her husband Adam, their dog Boomer, and cat Weezy. She has a background in luxury retail and business management, and has recently channeled her creative passions into launching two small businesses: an interior design studio and small-scale event rentals & florals. In her free time, Ashley enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors, and being near the water.

In 2023, Ashley and Adam experienced the heartbreaking loss of their daughter, Riley, due to a rare sacrococcygeal teratoma. Riley was born via emergency C-section at 32 weeks and lived for just one precious hour. In the wake of this loss, Ashley found support and connection through the Griffin Cares Foundation. What began as a place of healing soon inspired a desire to give back—leading her to become a volunteer, peer mentor, and now a proud member of the Board. Ashley and Adam welcomed their rainbow baby, Georgia, in October 2025. Ashley looks forward to continuing to serve and support the loss community through her work with the foundation.

Join our Peer Mentor Team

Support a peer who is new to grief

The Griffin Cares Peer Mentor Program is open to bereaved parents who have lived with loss for at least one year and feel that they are in a place in their grief journey where they can support someone else. Birthing parents and non-birthing partners are welcome to participate. All mentors must complete a training program and meet with our Peer Mentor Team prior to taking on a mentee. Ongoing support for mentors is provided.

Our caring community is here for you

We are so sorry for the loss that has led you here. Our mission is to connect you with free peer support and resources to help you cope and heal after losing your precious baby. This one-time registration signs you up to receive ongoing information and meeting links for all Griffin Cares programs by email. Please fill out the form as completely as you are able. After you register, a member of our Peer Support Team will reach out to personally welcome you and answer any questions you may have.
