Catherine Carota is a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist in private practice in Manhattan. She is a graduate of Columbia University’s School of Social Work and has completed advanced training programs at The Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and The William Alanson White Institute. She has served as adjunct faculty at NYU and presented at various professional conferences.
Before devoting herself full time to private practice, Catherine worked and supervised in hospitals with a particular focus on the needs of patients and their family in the ICUs, trauma, and emergency departments. She supervised a demonstration project supported by the NYS Department of Health employing intensive care management and coordination to target high-risk Medicaid recipients and engaged in advocacy work around end-of-life care.
Catherine lives in Manhattan with her husband, daughter and their poorly behaved, but very affectionate dog.
