Tim McConville holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. Currently a Principal Service Engineer managing a regional portfolio of digital business products, Tim has worked in the Castrol Lubricants business in Accounting and Information Technology roles for over 36 years.
Tim, and his wife Jennifer, lost their 5-month-old son Christopher James to SIDS in December of 1996. Trying to turn grief and anguish into something positive, they sponsored the Christopher James McConville Memorial Golf Outing for 14 straight years raising over $1 million dollars. Working closely with the CJ Foundation for SIDS, and the SIDS Center of New Jersey, those funds were dedicated to SIDS research; support services for bereaved families; training and educational materials for parents, healthcare professionals and childcare providers; and supporting public awareness campaigns in the hope that others may be spared a loss or more easily find access to support services.
Tim’s desire is to once again partner with Pam and Paul Caine and the entire Griffin Cares Board to provide the benefits of a support community for those who have experienced the loss of a child.
